I am very proud to accept the position of State Director of DBSA Tennessee because, working together we change lives for the better, and for some of our members, we not only change their lives, but save their lives. In 2006, a DBSA State Organization was only a vision. In 2007 it became a reality. At that time we didn't know exactly what the organization was going to look like, what we were going to do, what we would accomplish. We still don't.
We started with the belief that bringing Chapter Leaders from across the state together, to share ideas would benefit all. And it has, as evidence by our meeting on October 11th, 2014. I believe that this sharing of information, ideas and visions, will always be the foundation of DBSA Tennessee. From this foundation we will make our presence known throughout the state to healthcare providers and most importantly to people who live with mood disorders.
I am thankful to be with you in this beneficial and priceless, giving work. Here's to our expanding success.
